This Privacy Policy describes how MyDocstor ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by an independent developer based in the United Arab Emirates, collects, uses, and shares information when you use mydocstor.com and the DocstorDesk desktop application (together, the "Services").

Information We Collect

We collect the following:

  • Account information: your name and email address when you register, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
  • License and device information: if you use DocstorDesk, we generate a license key tied to your account and record the device name and a randomly generated device ID used to activate that license, so we can enforce one-device-per-license.
  • Usage data: for the AI Video tools, we record the duration of videos you generate and a general keyword describing the request, so we can enforce monthly usage limits for your plan. We do not store the scripts you write or the videos you generate on our servers — video rendering for DocstorDesk happens locally on your own computer.
  • Payment information: we never see or store your full card number, CVV, or bank details, for any product. Payments for mydocstor.com subscriptions (DocstorDesk / AI Video plans) are processed by Polar. Payments for SalesMine (our WordPress plugin, a separate product) are processed by Freemius. Each provider gives us only a subscription/transaction reference and status — not your raw payment details.
  • Automatically collected data: standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and diagnostics, via Google Analytics.

How We Use Your Information

  • To create and maintain your account and license.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.
  • To enforce plan usage limits (e.g. monthly AI video minutes).
  • To provide customer support when you contact us.
  • To understand aggregate usage of the site so we can improve it.

How We Don't Use Your Information

To be equally clear about what we don't do:

  • We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.
  • We do not share your data with third parties except the specific service providers listed below, and only for the specific purpose each one exists for (e.g. processing a payment, generating an AI response you requested).
  • We do not read, store, or use the content of your AI Video scripts on our servers — DocstorDesk renders video locally on your own computer.
  • We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, or bank account details under any circumstances — that's handled entirely by our payment providers.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

  • Polar (payment processing) — handles mydocstor.com subscription payments; we never see your full card number.
  • Freemius (payment and license processing) — handles payments and licensing for SalesMine, our separate WordPress plugin product; we never see your full card number.
  • Google AdSense — shown to Free-plan users on utility tool pages; Google may use cookies to serve relevant ads. Upgrading to a paid plan removes ads sitewide.
  • Google Analytics — helps us understand how visitors use the site.
  • Pexels — when you use the AI Video tools, the keyword derived from your script (not the full script) is sent to Pexels to search for matching stock footage.

Data Retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain records (e.g. for tax or fraud-prevention purposes).

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.

Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
